About

Hi,  I’m Kate Robson, and I’ve always had a passion for dogs. From observing their behaviours to how they interact with others, I’ve found endless fascination in understanding them better.

I’m a qualified Veterinary Nurse with over 25 years of experience working with animals. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside many experienced dog trainers and behaviourists, as well as interacting with various dog breeds and their owners. This has given me invaluable insight into the deep connection between dogs and their humans.

It was during this time that I truly recognised the importance of dog training and how it enhances the quality of life and strengthens the bond between dogs, their owners, and families.

As part of my role as a Qualified Veterinary Nurse at Larkmead Veterinary Group in Cholsey, I now run specialised nurse clinics. It’s here that my passion for dog training deepened, as I witnessed first-hand how a well-trained dog is a happier dog and how training early can help prevent behavioural issues in the future.

To share my knowledge, I now offer both group training classes—focused on the importance of early training—and 1-to-1 dog training lessons and consultancy.

I hold the IMDT Level 3 Accredited Qualification in Principles of Dog Training and Behaviour and a Dog First Aid certificate.

In addition, I’ve completed courses in Canine Nutrition, which has been a valuable part of my work in educating clients about the importance of proper nutrition and healthy lifestyles for their dogs. This contributes significantly to their overall well-being and quality of life.

I also hold a Pet Health Councillor Award, which has proven essential in providing comprehensive support to both clients and their dogs.

By incorporating positively reinforced training into daily routines, we can tackle a variety of common dog-related problems effectively.

We can’t expect dogs to behave well unless they’ve been taught what’s expected of them. This requires clear, positive training that sets them up for success.

My Services

Group Classes

All my Puppy and Basic training classes take place at Remenham Parish Hall, located in Remham, RG93DB. During summer months, classes are held outdoors in the beautiful enclosed garden, ensuring your dog’s safety while allowing them to train off-lead without the risk of escaping. In winter, we move indoors to the Parish Hall to keep the puppies warm.

I maintain a low participant count in my group classes, with a maximum of 6 dogs per session. This approach helps each dog thrive in a focused learning environment, minimizing distractions and allowing me to provide the necessary support for successful training for both the owner and the dog. All my training sessions, whether private or group, utilize reward-based methods.
